Recognized for humanitarian efforts and altruistic support, Previty Clinic and Dr. Garrett Peel were honored by the Gift of Life with its prestigious Legendary Leader Award at a Women’s Breast Health Program Luncheon on Monday, December 7 at the Charline & Sidney “Chief” Dauphin Screening & Prevention Center.
The Gift of Life Program is fortunate to have the endorsement of Previty Clinic for Surgical Care, a multi-specialty network of surgeons serving Southeast Texas and the Houston area, and Garrett Peel, MD, MHS, FACS, a graduate of George Washington and Johns Hopkins Universities. Dr. Peel completed his residency in general surgery as chief resident at the world-famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
For many years, Previty has annually supported the Gift of Life Women’s Health Initiatives that provide uncompensated healthcare services to medically underserved Southeast Texas women, which include the provision of free clinical breast exams, mammograms and diagnostic testing.
After I was diagnosed, I didn’t know how I was going to make it, financially or emotionally. The Gift of Life and Dr. Peel gave me the hope I needed. Dr. Peel is so knowledgeable, but more importantly, he truly cares about every patient. We are so lucky to have him here in our community.
