Thank you, Beaumont Foundation of America, for helping the Gift of Life save lives!

Thanks to the extraordinary support of Beaumont Foundation of America, 34 medically underserved Southeast Texas women received free clinical breast exams and mammograms from the Julie Rogers “Gift of Life” Program.
“It is important to get a mammogram once a year to make sure I am healthy,” said a client at the Beaumont Foundation of America screening. “I want to thank the Beaumont Foundation of America and the Gift of Life for caring about our community and making this idea happen.”
The Gift of Life Program is fortunate to receive generous funding from the Beaumont Foundation of America, a nonprofit grant-making institution dedicated to enriching the lives and enhancing the futures of less fortunate children and youth, families and the elderly across the United States.
Created in 2001, the Beaumont Foundation supports five program areas: Children and Youth, Education, Health Care, Social Services and Foundation Initiated Grants and Projects that provide services to underserved populations, with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life.
Beaumont Foundation Director Jon Huntsman, Sr. recognizes the critical role of quality and accessible healthcare and is pleased to support Gift of Life cancer prevention and screening programs for Southeast Texans.
In responding to the medical needs of underserved women, the Gift of Life established its continuum of care to reduce healthcare disparities through free breast health cancer screenings, coupled with preventive educational outreach and extensive case management for women who require diagnostic evaluations and cancer treatment.
The Gift of Life’s breast healthcare programming is strategically coordinated at churches and convenient neighborhood community sites to provide centralized medical services that are strengthened by the organization’s bilingual translators, nurses, clinical staff and volunteers.
With the Foundation’s assistance, the Gift of Life is able to increase its healthcare services and will provide nearly 35 mammograms and clinical breast exams with integrated cancer and healthy lifestyle educational outreach for medically underserved women at the Cristo Rey Church screening site.
Gift of Life board members, volunteers and staff are extremely grateful for the Beaumont Foundation’s support that affords essential medical care for vulnerable individuals who are positively impacted by the organization’s mission of saving lives.
